Conceria Errepi continues its monitoring and control of its CO2 emissions according to international ISO standards. Specifically, thanks to the scientific support of EcamRicert Srl, we have calculated our impact on CO2 emissions on all our products. Subsequently, together with DNV Business Assurance Italy Srl, we have certified it according to ISO 14067, with the last verification taking place in June of this year.
The purchase was supported by
GFS Consulting Srls, a carbon credit trading company in direct contact with the project developer.
To make our commitment even more effective, we have withdrawn carbon credits to support our strategy to make all our production CO2 Controlled.
The project specifically is a REDD+, methodology
developed and approved by UNFCC and accepted
by host countries that aims to avoid deforestation
of rainforests worldwide.
The project Mai Ndombe
Errepi has committed to supporting the Mai Ndombe project, located in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is working to restore nearly 300,000 hectares of rainforest designated for commercial timber extraction.
By halting deforestation and supporting reforestation programs, such as agroforestry nurseries and sustainable agricultural crops, the project protects the habitats of native flora and fauna.
To date, it has prevented the release
of 3,7 million tons of carbon since 2011.
Carbon revenues also fund sustainable development in local communities, providing education, training and access to better healthcare.
